Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the wait for my scissors to be sharpened?
We have service vans fitted with the specialised equipment which arrive at your salon, so therefor you will have your scissors back in your hand and ready for use in about 25min. No need to send them away and risk them getting lost in the mail costing you money and most of all time! We remove the minumum amount of metal to acheive a new sharp edge so therefore you should be able to get about 10- 15 sharpens from a pair that hasnt been over-sharpened by other sharpening persons with inferior equipment and lack of training as we have seen many scissors ruined. Yes. In most cases your scissors will be sharper than when you purchased them because we use the latest hairdressing scissor sharpening machines combined with qualified scissor smiths to acheive fresh edge. The simple answer for this is; Have them sharpened and balanced as soon as they are hard on your fingers and also not doing what you want them to do. Depending on the amount of cutting you do and also how clean the hair is, will determine the life of the sharpness.
