Hair Extensions for length and volume instantly

Got short hair? Not for long with the gorgeous range of hair extensions available

Find yourself wanting to follow the latest hair trends but restricted with the short length of your locks? This is a common issue currently as more people move away from the bob that has dominated the recent years and desire long, flowing hair. Yet nobody can speed up the growing process, so does this mean we simply have to wait until we have our own locks (which is right when short hair will be in vogue again)?

Not even close with the wonderful world of hair extensions. Hair extensions are an excellent way to get the length and volume you want for your hair without having to wait for it to grow or use loads of products.

Hair extensions can be attached to your head through a variety of methods depending on how much you spend and where you choose to get it done, either in a hair salon or at home.  Of course, you should really let the planned duration dictate this, as in, how long you planned to keep them. If it is just for one event then maybe a cheaper option or clip-ins but if this is a permanent change then perhaps a professional should perform the job.

Different methods of applying hair extensions include:

  • Salon bonded hair extensions
  • Clip in hair extensions
  • Track and sew method
  • Pre-bonded hair extensions

Each method and brand requires its own application procedures, and the difficulty of removal also depends on the product. Hair extensions are produced from a range of natural and synthetic options that can blend in with your own hair to add length and volume. Factors such as synthetic hair extensions or human hair extensions will all dictate the methods of application and the cost of hair extensions.

Of course, to get the most authentic and natural look you are best to opt for extensions made from real human hair as this will blend far better with your own hair.  Real hair extensions are available in a range of colours, styles and types of hair and they are of a far better quality than the synthetic version so are definitely preferable.

That is not to say that synthetic are not a good option for those who may be restricted financially. While synthetic hair is a cheaper option than real hair, it can still get quite pricey, but if you want quality you should invest. Synthetic hair is made from artificial fibre but made to look as real as possible, with choices of curls or straight hair and a range of colours. If money is an issue but you want hair extensions then it is highly recommended that you shop around and compare prices to get the most for your money. As a side note, you can buy extensions online but make sure that you are certain of what you want before you pay any money.

Of course, before you decide to do anything drastic, make sure you do your research to ensure you end up looking your best.  Think about what colour you need, what products or process to use, how much you are willing to spend and what look you want to create.
